This is an experiment, please do NOT write mails to the addresses below and do not post these elsewhere!

I was wondering how to present my email-address to the public, without receiving to much spam. I decided to go for a gif image. But I kept the question in my head and now I am going to try it out.

For the experiment, I have created four meaningless adresses which I present as:

A mailto text link:
xitlg@marcelpawlowski.de

Just as plain text without any link:
kbolz@marcelpawlowski.de

Text but slightly altered:
yfwqu AT marcelpawlowski DOT de

In a gif image:

Let's see which one caches the most spam (I would bet on number 1). This page went online on Jan 2nd 2008. In the futur, once the spam-wave hits me, I will post the results, e.g. how many spammails per address, do they differ, and so on.
